I would have probably bought one soon anyway so that makes it even better. Also, since finding it, I have asked some of my friends if they had seen any but none had. From what I believe, they only began minting them late last year. I also have just googled the subject and have found that Charles III 50ps have been fully released to all UK post offices since mid-December - although I haven't noticed this...

@DonnaML I was lucky enough to just come across one in my everyday life.

In the recent passing of the late Queen, it would only be a matter of time before her successor, Charles III, appeared on the new English coins. She was a much-loved queen and devoted her life to her country. Here is the first coin of our new King that I have:

Oh I forgot to say.π This worn, unpleasant coin did grab my naive tastes a few months ago. It was one of my first purchases ever a few months the ago! ππ

Stunning coins! My favourites are the Titus and the, very interesting, double-struck Gallienus! Congrats

All very nice coins. Congrats on a great year. My personal favourite was the Brutus denarius! π

Stunning coins. They are all very sharp and detailed. Congrats.

6 hour rule. I'll choose this Hadrian as the new coin if that is ok. Next: another coin from one of the '5 good emperors'

Here is a coin from the emperor Trajan. Although this legend is not too long, Trajan's legends are often quite extensive!

Nice coin! (However, what are 'limes denarii'?)

Forget the coins for just a sec, and let's focus on the scripts... What a piece of history to own! (If they get deciphered, please update us on their contents ππ) Congrats on a great year -
Not much compared to what has been shown here already but here is a Postumus that feature in my top ten list! At just over 23mm, here it is:

Nice coins. I'm always drawn to coins of the Nerva-Antonine dynasty so naturally they are my favourites. However, the 'flip-over double strike' coin is really interesting and something I have never seen before. I think it is a really cool coin to add to your collection!π

Thank you everyone for your support and feedback: @Limes That is a very nice coin you have there! @Al Kowsky You have a great genius reverse. However, I have compared the two Geta Nobilitas coins but I am not too experienced with fakes so I am not too sure about what I am really looking at. @ambr0zie You also have a very nice example of the Trajan Arabia Denarius @DonnaML I like your variation of my coin. I have also looked at your link and it is quite interesting. I will look into this further in the near future.

Nice coins! My favourite was Trajan sestertius.

Hello all, I hope you are all well. I thought that I would share with you my new way to store my coins. This post is a bit irrelevant but I just wondered what you all think of it - because I am very happy with it. Pictures are posted below. It is a coin case with various trays and it is a great improvement from the PVC book they were stored in before. At the time, I had no idea of the extent that PVC damages coins. This post is a bit of a follow-on from @ComicMan's thread a few weeks ago. I said then that I was looking for a new storage system (not too expensive) that would help to keep my coins as safe as possible. Here it is: (Sorry about the photos - I took them on my phone in a rush) (the coins relate to the tickets to the right) Finally, I don't know if this is a problem for anyone else but as I carried my new coin case around, they could move about and sometimes even fall down the side! After a few times this happened and a few scares about damaging my coins, I found the perfect solution for me! These small coin 'capsules' make sure that the coins are safe. My only concern is as follows: 'As all of my coins are not perfectly round, some of them can rattle against the sides of the capsule - is this a problem.' Many thanks to anyone who views this. Thank you Nvmis Forvms for a fantastic start in my coin-collecting journey! Happy New Year everyone and may 2023 find you all well!
