Furryfrog02 Posted January 22, 2023 · Supporter Share Posted January 22, 2023 Here is my favorite Trajan. One of the first coins I ever purchased. Only $25...Man, I wish I could find more like this at that price these days...The portrait is, in my opinion, stunning against the darker field behind. I believe @lordmarcovan called it a "circam" once.

Benefactor DonnaML Posted January 23, 2023 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) It's so difficult to choose with Trajan -- as it will be with Hadrian and Antoninus Pius -- simply because I have so many of each. All chosen primarily for the reverses, not the portraits! But here are some that have halfway decent portraits, I think. Mostly Imperials, a few Provincials; all silver -- I have only one Trajan bronze with a portrait, on a quadrans, but it isn't great. Write-ups omitted to speed the process. The first one probably has my favorite portrait. Edited January 23, 2023 by DonnaML 18 1 1
