I’m stuck on this small Roman Bronze, 18mm, 2.6gm. Can’t read the full legend but believe it may be Carinus

My small library collected in the last 3 years. As a rare book and second book seller for the last 40 years postal cost has destroyed the book market, many times the postal costs are more expensive than the book, sadly most of my coin library are pdf. The new photo is my dream library I could live in the library. Original photo from a library in Portuguese town.

My god, I’m such a fool. Last year I sold 50 odd M & M. Price list's, also a large run of HJB catalogues, CNG early catalogues, nice items for provenance research, I had to trim the bookshelves down. My interest are RPC coins and have two shelves of auction and dealer Catalogues if anybody need help researching RPC coins provenance please contact.

Pontus, Neocaesarea, Septimus Severus, 14.9gm 30mm. Price & Trell 166. My gut feelings are this coin has been Repatinated, cleaning marks under the patina which is dark gray.

I purchased a minor Greek bronze last year at this auction house, my postage fee was £35 ( more than the coin) to Edinburgh . I phoned the auction house to complain and was informed the coin was being shipped from Europe, I haven’t bid at there auctions since.
