  1. And here I thought Elizabeth Taylor was the real, Cleopatra.😐
  2. Came out great, enjoy the fruits of your labor.
  3. Two Roman Republics I thought about, but I agree, strong Buys, decided not to bother, keep the money for something else.

  5. Didn't even know they had one. That would suck if there is one.
  6. I've got about a dozen I missed. And most are from Lanz, many years ago. They never made it past customs. So I have never bought from them again. And since Covid, I don't buy anything from overseas, anymore. It's North America only. Shipping costs are too high, customs takes forever, lots of political drama, no thanks.
  7. Threw some bids on ebay, the past few days, lost them all. Still some strong numbers being brought in, even on there. I never bother with the overseas auctions. The countless threads on the drama and cost that get posted about them.😮‍💨
  8. Very pleasing example, I always liked the portrait on them too. Macedonia, Roman Protectorate, First Meris, (167 - 148 B.C.) 13. It's been several years since I have bought a Roman Imperial coin, of any sort. But this was freshly listed from one of my favorite dealers, at a decent price, so I couldn't pass up, owning a scarcer Imperial Emperor. If you have any Aemilians, post away. Aemilian (253 A.D.) AR Antoninianus O: IMP AEMILIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right. R: PACI AVG, Pax standing left, holding branch and sceptre. Toma Mint 3.44g 21mm RIC 8, C 26

  15. Rather it be packed like that than loose in a stamped envelope.😀
  16. Other than being heavily worn, the coin looks OK to me and a decent deal as well.
  17. Very nice example. I have a half grout, but it's pretty much a budget example. I am still happy with it though. Henry VII (1485- 1509 A.D.) AR Half Groat O: ҺЄnRIC’ × VII’ × DI’ × GRΛ × RЄX × ΛGL’, crowned bust right. R: POSVI × DЄV’ × Λ DIVTO Є’ × mЄV’ ×, coat-of-arms over long cross fourchée; two keys below. 19. Looks very professional and pleasing to the eyes.
  20. That came out quite nice!
  21. It's what I said in post #7, here. Leeched. And despite the new posts, I still think the same. I've had Julia Mamaea and Maesa denarii in the 1.83g & 1.62g range.
  22. Since today is "St. Patrick's Day", let's see your "green" coinage. Spain, Castulo Mid 2nd century B.C. Æ Heavy Unit O: Diademed male head right. 23. I thought one of the common reasons is because some of the other metals used ,would have been leeched out, from their burials over the centuries? I've had Alexandrian Tets that should be 11+ grams and weight less then 7.xx grams and are perfectly real.
  24. Vitellius (69 A.D.) AR Denarius O: A VITELLIVS GERMAN IMP TR P,Laureate head right. R: S P Q R / OB / C S in three lines within wreath. Rome Mint, 69 A.D. 3.15g 18.5mm RIC I 83; RSC 86.
