  4. Looks like Elagabalus, but i've never seen that type of Tet of him before. If it's a legit coin, I like it, good crust and all. Hopefully someone here can answer the questions.
  5. I wouldn't spend $10 on it.
  6. If it was contemporary holes, I could see it as a game piece, but since it was modern, I have no clue. Doesn't look like it would have been used for analyzing .
  7. Nothing new, there was an old tv show called "World's Weirdest Collections" or something like that, on the Travel Channel or A&E, it only lasted 1 season. But one of the segments was the barf bags, another was vacuum cleaners, shoes, which we know is popular now. It was an interesting show and a bit different then the usual "Pickers or Pawn Stars". An actual good one is "Collectors Call", on MeTV, it focuses on peoples collections too, but mainly pop culture. Lisa Whelchel, from The Facts of Life, hosts it. I watch it whenever it's on. You can search "weirdest collections" and see similar stuff from the results.
  8. Beautiful coin. I have noticed that too. Some coins have these "from the collection of" and I guess I am suppose to be impressed. Half the time doing a search results in nothing showing up or it was from an old dealer I am not familiar with. I still leave it on my own labels though, it might be important for future collectors.

  10. His story is one of the more amusing Emperor stories. Congrats on finally getting him. Now you need his son, wife and grand kids.
  11. Saw this new holder from NGC, might be a game changer for ancient and medieval collectors. I will still keep my collection raw. https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/9218/airview-holder/
  12. Wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing.
  13. Considering the bottom left split at & O' Clock looks like it's all silver with no pealing or chipping, you have your answer. And as RC pointed out, this era can have inconsistency with weight.
  14. Does it come with a free gift of the "Justinian Plague"?😐
  15. Common coin, but looks fine. No worries.
  16. PHILIP II (247 - 249 A.D.) SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria Billon Tetradrachm O:AVTOK K M IOVLI FILIPPOC CEB: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Seen from behind. 17. Severan era coins frequently can be found very underweight, so that isn't a shock. I've had Maesa & Mamaea coins as low as 1.4g.
  18. Not something I would ever do, mine are in binders. Still, it's nice to see other photos, who choose to do this.
