  1. It is a stunning example. Maybe it's just to entice bidders to take notice, who are scrolling. Otherwise, it's a boring lot without it.

  4. LMAO, new week, new thread, regarding these darn auction houses and the drama associated with them. I'm surprised Netflix or some other streamer hasn't picked this stuff up as a television show, plenty of material on here, cointalk, & PCGS boards, with all the B.S. that's associated with them.🤣

  11. Looks like an interesting lot.
  12. Seriously, the endless problem threads these auction houses have is mind numbing. I really don't get why people feel the need to support the majority of them. From stolen items, expensive shipping, packages never getting sent, hidden auction fees, non response to emails or phone calls, slow services, new "auction houses" being created, every few months. With all the posts on here and formally cointalk, it really isn't worth the headaches these places constantly present to their customers. I'm sure this post will get backlash, which is fine. I know some bargains can be had, rarities can only be found at them versus expensive dealers or ebay, but still, I'm glad I continue to not support these places with my money. Life has many stresses as it is, and coin collecting is one of the few hobbies I find relaxing after work. I enjoy the hunts like all of us collectors tend to partake, but when the hunt involves Indiana Jones style traps, to get to the prize...it isn't relaxing.😑
  13. I only buy from vcoins and a few dealers from their own public websites. I can't stand Ma-shops. I always find their coins way over priced, not counting having to deal with the over seas drama that seems to occur on a regular basis, mainly since Covid. I no longer buy from over seas. And the constant threads about issues from buying overseas, that are posted on here and Cointalk, makes me glad I continue with my decision.
  14. Germanicus, with Divus Augustus (15 B.C. - 19 A.D.) AR Drachm CAPPADOCIA, Caesarea O:GERMANICVS CES TI AVGV COS II PM, bare head of Germanicus right. R: DIVVS AVGV-STVS, radiate head of Augustus left. 3.23g 16.5mm RPC I 3623a; cf. Sydenham, Caesarea 50; RIC I 61; BMCRE 106 The date of this issue remains uncertain. RPC places it late in Tiberius' reign, circa 33/4 AD, while the traditional dating, adopted by RIC and Sydenham, place's it in the first year of Caligula's reign, 37/8 AD.

  16. That is very convincing. It would fool me because I have never owned one before. At least you got a refund though. If it was Lanz, you'd never see your $ again.

  19. It's just a rare issue, overall. I thought @David Atherton could have explained it better.
  20. Even though I gave it it's own thread, it's being largely ignored, so here is what I consider a "grail". You're the one that confirmed it.🙂 Titus (79 - 81 A.D.) 21. I've owned a few Titus tetradrachms, in my collecting lifetime, but this particular one is the rarest I have acquired. Titus (79 - 81 A.D.)
