I've assembled a Vast and Varied Roman Republic-related list of Vs.

Someone posted something somewhere recently referring to happenings at the Temple of Vespa, and indeed such modern-day chariots of gods and mortals probably have their own temple:

though it may have been a typo' and the intended temple was that of Vesta, seen here on the reverse of Cr. 428/2:

V is for Vetranio

Vetranio Ae Centenionalis Siscia 350 AD Obv Bust right laureate draped and cuirassed. Rv Emperor standing with two military standards. RIC 285 5.26 grms 22 mm Photo by W. Hansen

vetranio2.jpg.b29de38b394601ae55a6c388e83952ad.jpg

Vetrranio is unusual in that in his case the line between being a legitimate emperor and a usurper is rather fuzzy.

24 hours only for W as there was no W in old Greek alphabet and an overall shortage in general ancient terms. A good few medieval and European ones though. Loosest possible connections to W are just fine so have fun with this one.
