  1. What do you think of this coin? It looked pretty interesting despite being worn and I could not resist the $20 price tag. Here is the eBay link: Celtic Britain, Atrebates. Verica, 10-40 AD Bronze Coin | eBay I think it has Hercules on it. I got it from a fairly reliable source, and it looks authentic, however, I wanted to narrow it down to its RIC and i'm not sure its correctly identified.
  2. This is a neat Republican denarius from 55 BC featuring Cybele and the capture of Jewish King Aristobulus II by Pompey. He is kneeling by a camel holding an olive branch. This type I believe is the 1st Judea Capta coin before Vespasian. Cool coin despite being kinda low grade. I never got into Republican Denarii but this one peaked my interest.
  3. Some early 1500s-1600s Spanish copper cobs. Great colonial coinage and very unique pieces to add to any world collection
  4. Elymais coins often go pretty cheap this one with Orodes II I got for $6 and the I got the Chach principality coin with an unknown ruler for the starting bid of $3. Chach is ancient Uzbekistan. Not much demand for coins of unknown kingdoms.
  5. I got another Caracalla tetradrachm but now in much nicer shape for $47. I'll sell the other one for what I paid for and call it a free coin for myself that is if it sells. The other one below.
  6. Russian coins especially Roubles are widely counterfitted lol I didn't bother with this coin it looks to good to be real haha
  7. Do you ever get fillers for rare emperors? Sometimes they aren't significant enough to bother with a nice example. Do you feel like you wasted your money? Here is a Florian I picked up for $20. Pretty rare but ugly as sin. Post your fillers here.
  8. Does this look fake to you? It looks off I was thinking about purchasing it but I have second thoughts
  9. Stop in the name of Love by The Supremes for this German states Schwabisch coin
  10. A few more birds from Sicily, Timor Leste, and Indonesia.
  11. Tetricus I is happy he and his son were spared. He looks super goofy here. Fairly common and inexpensive imitation
  12. Some more lovely birds from German New Guinea, Ireland, Norway, Russia, Italy, and Montenegro. Mankind sure loves using birds as symbols since ancient times.
  13. Celtic Sequani tribe quinarius. Song most fitting is Wild Horses by Rolling Stones I like the empty space off struckness of Celtic coinage. The horse runs through an empty field. Has the sort of feeling to it.
  14. Marc Antony used to be a hero before he fell for Cleopatra. Now he kinda gets a mixed reception. Denarius of Marc Antony and Octavian in bad shape but still cool. Next anything from Bactria
  15. Great portrait of Napoleon. I still want to get another 5 francs of Napoleon as emperor but most of them have the hair worn off. I never got into medals even though they are wonderfully made.
  16. Any large copper fans around here? Lemme see what you got? Here is a 1827 40 Reis Brazil counterstamped revalued to 20 Reis. Pretty cool large copper. Big but surprisingly light.
  17. A few neat bird coins in my collection nothing too valuable but love the bird designs in coins
  18. Kingdom of Numidia Juba silver denarius coin - 60-45 BC | eBay I picked this up today. Probably the best purchase this year for me in terms of rarity and historical interest. I didn't need to stretch my budget for it! Despite it being worn it is a fairly rare denarius coin king Juba I of Numidia he is known for being allies with Pompey after Julius Ceasar pulled his beard. Really excited and happy about this coin especially for the attractive price. I pray its authentic because I'm 99% sure it is.
  19. Thank you! I was loosing faith in vcoins a little. These are actually really good prices.
  20. Man, that tetradrachm is nice. Wish ones $100-200 range came that nice.
  21. Picked up this Caracalla Tetradrachm for $62 it was labeled as XF. I disagree, it's VF at best but it's nice. I think it was an ok price not the best not the worst. It has nice details but I wouldn't call it breathtaking
  22. Wow great coins everyone. Here is my new Carus. I sold my other Carus to get this one for almost the same price (a little more) but a worthy price. I paid $59 for this beauty. Chocolate brown and a rare emperor can't go wrong. Barrack emperors during the crisis of the 3rd century for the most part are plentiful due to high inflation. It really makes me wonder how on earth do these coins survive so well. When looking at US large cents (especially early 1800s and earlier) so many of them like a solid majority have environmental damage or look older than many ancient coins lol. Ancients made things built to last haha
  23. 217-218 Macrinus AE coin Provincial Antioch. Macrinus never spent time in Rome during his reign. He was in Antioch the whole duration of his reign. Even though it is worn I like this coin a fair amount. Not super rare either surprisingly for an emperor who only ruled for a year.
  24. 1541 Groschen Prussia Albert I first ruler of Prussia a nice quarter sized silver coin which is surprisingly cheap and pretty
