Shea19 Posted February 24, 2023 · Supporter Share Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) I only have two coins of T-Bone, one provincial and one imperial: Trebonianus Gallus, 251-253, Seleucis and Pieria, Antioch, AE Octassarion (30 mm, 18.53 g). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of T. Benefactor Ancient Coin Hunter Posted February 24, 2023 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted February 24, 2023 (edited) I have a T-bone antoninianus (Gallus) and also a sestertius of Volusian. Note the presumed die-break at the end of Gallus' nose so it resembles Pinocchio. kapphnwn Posted February 24, 2023 · Supporter Share Posted February 24, 2023 Ae Sestertius Trebonianus Gallus 251-252 AD Obv Bust right laureate draped and cuirassed seen from back. Rv Pietas standing left over altar. RIC 117a 14.17 grms 28 mm Photo by W. Hansen To some degree @Roman Collector is correct. The portraits of Gallus are difficult to find nice. Part of the problem is the haste in which the coinage is produced. The trouble is... it only gets worse. 20

Octavius Posted February 25, 2023 · Supporter Share Posted February 25, 2023 Volusianus... Two sestertii and five Antoniniani. My favorite portrait is the first Antoninianus with Pietas reverse - I think he looks very much like his father. That's about all I know about this emperor. 16 1

Severus Alexander Posted February 26, 2023 · Supporter Share Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) There are some very nice style portraits of Aemilian out there (like @Octavius's first coin!) but mine isn't one of them. Also, they vary so much that one is left with little idea of what the guy really looked like... The best thing I can say about this coin is that it has been removed from a slab! 🙂 Edited February 26, 2023 by Severus Alexander 15 1
