Alwin Posted December 29, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2022 (edited) Very few acquisitions this year. Two dioboles to complete the series, Arsaces II and Sinatruces for the effigy, "ЄΠAP" and "ΓꞶTЄPZHC" for rarity, and a rather worn sestertius, but at least the reverse legend not re-engraved, as I have seen too often.1- ARSACES II (211-185)Drachm Mithradatkart/Nisa S.6.1 4.19 g – 16.5 mmObv. Benefactor kirispupis Posted December 29, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted December 29, 2022 Nice pickups! I like the Arsaces II drachm the most, having looked at his coins previously.
happy_collector Posted December 29, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2022 Nice additions! Great to see coins forming a series. Your coins #1, 3 and 7 are my favorites.
sand Posted December 29, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2022 Nice coins. I especially like coin 3 and coin 7. It looks like, I can only vote for 1 coin, because the choices are radio buttons, not checkboxes.

Spaniard Posted December 29, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted December 29, 2022 Wonderful selection @Alwin! I really like the Ornate engraving on #3 Sinatruces #7 The Trajan portrait is sweet with an interesting reverse depiction. #1 The Arsaces has a really nicely detailed portrait. But all are very nice examples! Congrats!
Parthicus Posted December 29, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2022 A very nice Parthian-based list! I voted for #1 and #7 as my favorites, but there are no losers on this list. Here's my own example of type #7:
Di Nomos Posted December 29, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2022 I like #7 as it's a type I'm a bit more familiar with, but the others are really Interesting types. My favourite of the whole lot is #3, a very attractive coin. Also like coin #1 a lot. Thanks for showing.
Qcumbor Posted December 29, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted December 29, 2022 Arsaces II drachm for its beautiful portrait, the two diobols because I don't see them often, and of course that fabulous sestertius. I can't wait seeing them for real @Alwin Q
Shea19 Posted December 29, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted December 29, 2022 That’s a great group, very nice! I know very little about Parthian coins, but my favorite is the Sinatruces (#3), beautiful portrait. And of course the Trajan sestertius is fantastic.
Benefactor robinjojo Posted December 29, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted December 29, 2022 I am not terribly knowledgeable when it comes to Parthenian coinage, but I do like #1, and #3 (portrait!), as well as the Trajan sestertius, #7. Great purchases for 2022!
Hughie Dwyer Posted December 29, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2022 Nice coins! My favourite was Trajan sestertius.
Benefactor DonnaML Posted December 29, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted December 29, 2022 They're all beautiful, but I know nothing about Parthian coins so I really have no basis for choosing among them. Therefore, I took the easy way out: I voted for your Trajan sestertius, with its wonderful portrait and an unusual and very interesting reverse.

Nerosmyfavorite68 Posted December 31, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 31, 2022 It's a great list! #3 is my favorite, having the most realistic portrait of the Parthian offerings. #6 and the Trajan Sestertius would also be my second co-favorites.
