@ValiantKnight...Wonderful write up thoroughly enjoyed it thanks.. A sweet looking coin with a nice patina, high on my want list..... Maybe just keep your eye on the small green mark behind the portrait? Here's imo a nice portrait of Hadrian -
@AncientNumis....I like going out with my metal detector and generally pick up some nice pieces.. Inadvertently whilst walking I find fossils sitting on the surface... Here's a few I've found this year... I'm gonna need another cabinet soon..

@JeandAcre......Wonderful group with a nice variety of mint locations and dates...Particularly like the almost 'jester like' crown on the Hormizd II... @dougsmit........That's quite an iconic coin for me Doug, as your page on forum is why I began to collect Sassanian coinage many years ago...Very nice example.. @Curtisimo........Nice coin with sweet toning....Like BBA mint mark as I've yet to add this to my collection.

Post your cats and ancient/medieval coins depicting felines!
Spaniard replied to ValiantKnight's topic in General
Here's an interesting feline coin.. Kashmir Toramana II... A nice supposed lifetime issue of Toramana II with an added bonus! The reason I bought this coin is at 7 0'clock on the reverse you can clearly see the lions head that Lakshmi is seated on...Quite difficult to find the lion depicted in such detail.- 32 replies
