Well, it's 9:30 on december 17th here in France. I opened a package coming from Spain, containing a nice Xmas card writen in english (might be someone expatriated π ?) and not one but two coins : a very interesting Titus denarius with pulvinar on the reverse (a very popular reverse for Titus as far as I know), from a recent NN auction, and a beautiful Carinus antoninianus featuring Aequitas on the reverse. I took some time earlier this morning to take proper pictures of them : TITUS (79-81), Denarius - Rome mint Obv: IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M. Laureate head right. Rev: TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P. Pulvinar (throne) of Jupiter and Juno : square seat, draped, with tassels, with triangular frame, on which are eight vertical bars and one palmette. 3,13 gr - 17 mm Ref : RICΒ² 124. Provenance : Secret santa 2023 (Numismatic Naumann auction 134, # 429) Carinus, Antoninianus - Lugdunum mint IMP CM AVR CARINVS AVG. Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right AEQVITAS. Aequitas standing left, holding scales and cornucopia. A in right field 2,88 gr - 22 mm Ref : Sear # 12339, Cohen # 8, Bastien # 533, RIC V-2 #212 Provenance : Secret Santa 2023 Cherry on the cake, the Carinus is from Lyon, which, as most of you now know, is the big city close to where I live Thank you so much to my secret Santa. I wish you all a great Saturnalia !! IO SATURNALIA !! Q

Since we have to choose one, it has to be the Kushan dinar, but I wouldn't mind owning any of them. Great, great year as it seems Q
