hotwheelsearl Posted November 27, 2022 · Member Share Posted November 27, 2022 This 24x25mm coin of Caesarea is rather worn, but has a definitive female head. There appear to be only three females with Caesarean coins - Julia Domna, Julia Paula, and Tranquillina. The head shape doesn't match Julia Domna, and it sure looks like Julia Paula, but could also be Tranquillina. What do you think?
Qcumbor Posted November 27, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted November 27, 2022 There are also coins for Plautilla there : But I think the image of your coin looks like Tranquillina : Ex @Steve collection Q 2
Roman Collector Posted November 27, 2022 · Patron Share Posted November 27, 2022 Laureate bust. A young emperor. I'm thinking Severus Alexander or Gordian III. 5

Benefactor Ancient Coin Hunter Posted November 28, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted November 28, 2022 Mount Argaeus is definitely visible. I'd vote for Gordian the 3rd.
