Bertolami Numismatic. Nero (54-68). Æ Dupondius (30mm, 13.18g). Lugdunum, c. AD 66. Laureate head l., globe at point of neck. R/ Securitas seated r. on throne, holding sceptre; lighted and garlanded altar to r. RIC I 519.

First. This is not my coin! I've been annoyed all day that I just let this beautiful Nero Bronze go today. There are coins that you like straight away. And I'm very annoyed that I didn't buy it at an auction. Was one of you present one of the lucky ones?

I need to vent my frustration. There are too few Nero coins shown here in the forum. Make me happy after today's loss - show me your Nero coins please....

Sorry! I know how that is. You think you're being responsible not buying the coin, only to regret it later.

If you have a feeling like that, you should buy! The annoyance about the money spent is there once - the annoyance about a missed coin that you wanted is eternal... 😄

My only Nero coin is this sestertius which I snapped up the instant I saw the listing:

And you done good 😉 … a beauty Nero.

P. de Sion, Don't feel bad, we've all been there 😏. I've had a number of fine Nero Tets go through my hands, coins I've sold for one reason or another. I do have one fine example left in my collection ☺️.

I have no luck with Nero. I always do the wrong thing, which I regret afterwards.

I sold this Nero in 2021. And regretted it. But even worse. The buyer later put the coin up for auction and I had the chance to buy it back. And I didn't. And regretted it! I idiot!

Then I had got this Nero Tetradrachm. But I got a good offer and sold it. And guess what - right - regretted it!

And now today. Nero is chasing me! I MUST defeat the curse - I need a Nero coin. Help! 😄

You already saw mine (it's my most prized ancient). The portrait is nice but he looks too friendly I've read he was decently popular in his first 6 months and in the provinces. Maybe somewhere along the road I'll pick up another Nero (who looks a little more evil and or fat)

Wow!  Pretty sure this is the same coin as the one that hammered (below) for around $7,200 INCLUDING buyer's fee:

Looks as if it's been repatinated.  Anybody here want to pay a $64,000 premium for this coin?

Wow. I wish I could sell coins at a 1000% markup! 🤔
