  1. When you have some doubts and habe to ask here (which is absolutely okay and understandable) - don't buy them. Save the money and get sth you reaaaally like the moment you see it.
  2. I thought about bidding on the first one, too. Both are incredibly nice, but there are two coins for my Trajan collection that are waiting for my defeat in the mighty bidding wars. Imho, I'd keep both of them. There's a huge chance that you'll never find better ones ;-) And I agree to shanxi, the second has such an incredible nice portrait from finest style. In combination with the reverse - keep it!
  3. Imo the sellers aren't the problem. Fakes were sold hundreds of years before. But Ebay IS. Like someone already pointed out, they do absolutely nothing against it. I'm not new to collecting but I'm not an expert, so I stopped looking for coins there. The chances to buy a pretty good fake are too high for me. I prefer to pay a 100 bucks more and get a nice provencance with an auction house.
  4. That's pretty normal. There is a difference between the normal postal services and companies that get payed more for delivering faster. With the custom process etc. But I don't like FedEx anymore because of huge problems with customs fees and their bills.
  5. That's exactly the problem. If it came from Italy it should be returned. Otherwise the woman could keep it herself. If there is an evidence that it was excavated in Germany, that would be another thing. It really is a cool story at the end.
  6. I would cut myself a toe off for the Cali!
  7. I absolutely adore your travel series coins. Keep posting them! They mostly aren't that rare but rarely cheap. And most of them are of such a lovely style.
  8. My last one is this Trajan aureus. I really like both the emperor and the dacia reverses. 19mm 7,04g From the Adrian Lang collection and Ex Numismatica Ars Classica 78 (2014)
  9. Leu isn't responsible for money charged by FedEx. They list their shipping prices as they are (at least for me]. I agree that they could need more employees, but this would affect the buyers premium for sure, which is pretty low compared to other big names. They say 10 days because you never know what could happen. Their shipping time is pretty much the same as for every other auction house.
