  1. At the end Zeno Pop is a dealer, that's partly the reason why there are always so many coins of him in the auctions.
  2. Thanks! Yes, the wear is quite okay, the surface looks way better in hand with the golden toning but I prefer showing the truth when zoomed in πŸ˜‰ Exactly, it's nearly complete and I don't want to pay 2000+ for a better type ☺️ got it for a fair price after having it on my vcoins list for like 2 weeks
  3. My latest ancient is this "Vercingetorix" denarius. Moneyer issues of Imperatorial Rome. L. Hostilius Saserna. 48 BC. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.66 g) Rome mint. Head of Gallic captive (Vercingetorix?) right; Gallic shield to left / Two warriors in galloping biga right: one driving, holding whip and reins, and the other, facing backward, holding shield and brandishing spear. Crawford 448/2a; CRI 18; Sydenham 952; Hostilia 2; RBW 1569.
  4. I usually don't buy slabbed coins, as people tend to pay more for the slabs and I want to touch my coins. Here was an absolute exception I made, because I know the seller from another forum and the price (1200,-) was really good for that shape. It was mounted, but that's no problem for me as they did not cut the edge. It will probably stay alone, without any slabbed friend.
  5. I like the detailled conversation I had with @antwerpen2306 in this thread πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‚
  6. @Prieure de Sion hier werden sie geholfen πŸ™ƒ
  7. Here's a good example for an intact Campana relief. The style is pretty much the same. Of course it looks finer due to the surface, but at the end it's not. It is dated 30bc to 20ad
  8. 1st century or older which is, even to me, logical if it's a Campana relief. There are more examples, but the style from the one shanxi posted, was later often copied by the Romans, in the 1st century and even before that. Forget Pompeii for a moment, it's what one of the preowners thought or got told. No @Prieure de Sion but I like to hear that! πŸ˜‰
  9. It doesn't matter. If everyone would do the same, you can just delete the forum because it's going to be useless. Sometimes you'll get the answer you want and sometimes you won't. Don't take it personally, this is how forums are. Maybe you get an useful answer after a week. But deleting pictures or posts is ridiculous.
  10. Si seΓ±or, but I already posted it here and I think you even liked it πŸ˜‚
  11. Oh, that was this coin cleaning thread? So @leeshielyou got your answers and then you start deleting or editing the thread? Well..that's a garbage move.
  12. I think that, as Rolf is quite some kind of an expert, I leave the dating to him πŸ˜‰ 16x7cm
  13. Tyche would be a possibility, yes. But I think it will stay a mystery forever πŸ™ƒ
  14. I can only repeat what I already wrote here: Helios Gallery is a great place to buy artifacts! Rolf is such a nice person, if you're not happy with the item you can return it any time. You can always ask for a discount and if you have questions about the background informations, he'll answer. Even months after you bought it. His prices are pretty fair, too!
  15. Thanks! I checked it, 26,2g is correct πŸ˜‰ Lovely bear! 🀣
  16. It was more like a part of a wall decoration or it is a caryatid I guess. I don't think that Terracotta artifacts would be a good idea to place on a vessel?
  17. Nice ones in here! I only have one Galba, it's not my target normally. Sestertius 26,22g or sth like this πŸ™ƒ
  18. Thank you! I liked it (even if the face looks like Iron Maiden designed it) and thought 2 days about it, so I just took the chance. Artifacts like this are rarely listed more than a week at Helios. The price was quite fair and adjusted to the fact that it's not sure that it came from Pompeii. I now contacted several Pompeii experts from all over the world and will see if someone is going to reply. But it has to be a part from something bigger, as it's just a fragment. My hope is that one or more of them will recognize the style or anything else. As the label seems to be from the 19th century or early 20th, why should someone write Pompei on it? A modern label would be to sell it easier but back then?
  19. Hello again, I just bought this relief fragment from Rolf (Helios). There's an old label on it, which says "Pompei". I doubt that it really comes from Pompei due to the condition (Still bought it because I like it). Seems to be a goddess, wearing a peplos and the material is Terracotta. Do you have seen similar objects?
  20. Thank you! They told me that the surfaces are fine and after the video I knew there was a chance that it's going to be a bargain. The first time that I appreciate their bad pictures πŸ˜‚ I mean 350 for a pretty nice Tiberius 😜
  21. Got this "Tribute Penny" from Kuenker today. Their picture was horrible, so I just searched for the picture when it was sold in 2018. This Picture was quite better but I was still worried about the surface. So they sent me a video of it. I won with a 350€ bid, which is quite low compared to similar examples. I like it, as it's nicely centered and has not that much wear. VID-20221114-WA0000.mp4
  22. I just thought that I already saw this coin somewhere else.. πŸ˜‰ Than I remembered where.. πŸ˜„ Congrats!
  23. No X, but I really like this one. 3,46g. Sorry for the bad pictures, but the ones from Kuenker were even worse. I just took the risk because their description said xf/ms It was unexpected too. i just watched the auction, read their description and as it was under the estimate, I just placed the bid. Did not regret it. it's a wonderful coin in hand.
