  1. These coins have symbolic appeal to me. Taurus the bull is the horoscope sign of the two most beautiful women in my life — my mother and my wife. When angry, both of them can give me a look that could turn a man to stone 🥶 🤣 ! Also — As far as my Judaean coins are concerned — I have multiples of many and could fill up your thread with examples of various prutot — Hendin numbers etc — but I won’t do that to you — Great post @ambr0zie

    Hello

Great to see you made it over to the new forum. I too am returning from a 5 month educational sabbatical.
  3. I hear you — I received my ancestral DNA results a few weeks ago. 40% English 🇬🇧, 30% German 🇩🇪, 20% Irish 🇮🇪 and 10% Italian 🇮🇹. I’m assuming the Roman invasion of Britain could have something to do with the 10% 🇮🇹 😊
  4. Since today is June 6, 2022 and the 78th anniversary of the 1944 Allied invasion of Normandy, I thought it might be fun to commemorate Vespasian’s successful invasion of Britain in 43 A.D. Please post your invasion, victory, or defeat related coins.
  5. Perhaps I spend too much time behind the wheel.
  6. I love it! Rhodan was always my favorite giant monster.
  7. I agree — I have several and they are all Seleucid bronze coins. I always thought that the serrated edge was to permit identification without having to see the coin. I like to think that the Seleucids were ahead of their time and were providing for the vision impaired.
  8. Great post, @maridvnvm I purchased this small collection of coins several years ago because I thought the stylized images were rather unique.
  9. Seleucid or Seleukid coins are beautiful. My first coins were in boxes of Holy Land collections which were my earliest ancient coin purchases.
  10. Great coin, David. Victory pose is very glamorous. This is my one and only coin featuring Victory.
  11. Great post, Egry, I display my coins virtually and in poster format.
  12. Thanks for creating the new forum. The site name and format look great.
  13. That’s a beautiful denarius, Roman Collector. I love the portrait of Faustina II gazing skyward. I think this is my one and only coin featuring Juno.
