Hello everyone, today (or yesterday to be precise) I bought my first Boeotian coin! Its a neat obol minted Tanagra featuring the boeotian shield.

Absolutely feel free to show off some of your Boeotian coins! Recently I have decided to change my collecting interests a bit and discover the world of Boeotian coinage. To say the least I'm not disappointed at all. Some of the most incredible coins, with staggering history.

I should probably add that it's ex @Hesiod. My photo of it sucks, though. I'll redo it when I rebuilt my photo setup.

Here's another "pseudo-Boeotian"

Islands off Attica, Salamis
c.339-318 BCE
Æ 17mm 2,45g

Very cool! I can see from some of your previous posts you are also a fan of Boeotian coinage 🙂

What are some of your dream types? I'm still saving up for a Boeotian stater, and perhaps I'll get an obol or hemidrachm next.
