Qcumbor Posted June 2, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted June 2, 2022 Not that we love Royals here in France (we tend to prefer them a bit "shortened" 😇), but how could we miss Lizzy's 70th coronation's anniversary ? Please pile on the coins of hers you may have God save the Queen ! Q
Benefactor robinjojo Posted June 2, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted June 2, 2022 The name Elizabeth does have considerable significance in the monarchial history of England and the UK. So, in honor of the anniversary, here is Elizabeth II's forbearer in name.

Magnus Maximus Posted June 3, 2022 · Member Share Posted June 3, 2022 It really is interesting to think that Queen Elizebeth II may be the person who has had the most coins minted with their effiegy in human history. A 1980 and 1966 50 cent peice from the Commonwealth of Australia.
Furryfrog02 Posted June 3, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted June 3, 2022 @DonnaMLI've said it before but it bears repeating...your collection of medals is top notch! Here are a few QE2's I have photographs of: A beautiful toner A nice cameo  And 2 pennies of 2015 when they changed Lizzy's portrait from the 4th to the 5th version on 02 March. These both came out of a coinstar reject bin 😛
Dafydd Posted June 3, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted June 3, 2022 And some more of her namesake. Â This one was a little outside of my interests as it is a 3d not Shilling but I liked the portrait and ended up with a set. QUEEN ELIZABETH 1st silver hammered three pence dated 1578 ad,5TH issue,mm GREEK CROSS.
Benefactor Steve Posted June 3, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted June 3, 2022 (edited) Imagine working in a job for 70 fricken years! (I had a hard enough time lasting 30 years!) => Congrats to Liz (long live the Queen) I have lotsa Canadian coolness, including these two sweet bank-notes (in the first 1935Â $20 note, she was merely Princess Liz ... but in the 1954Â $1000 note, she had recently become Queen Elizabeth) Â Â Edited June 3, 2022 by Steve

Benefactor Steve Posted June 4, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted June 4, 2022 (edited) I agree, Paddy54 ... I also have a pretty neat Centennial Set (not as well protected as your set ... and sadly, I recall handling the coins "gingerly" when I was younger, because touching the coins is what it's all about, right? ... yah, I was destined for ancient coins) Â Â Edited June 4, 2022 by Steve 4
Furryfrog02 Posted June 4, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted June 4, 2022 I don't have a full set of Canadian Centennial coins but I did pick up 3 of the medals many years back for under melt. They all have interesting toning that is hard to catch on my phone. Â
