@happy_collector those leaves are usually described as bay/laurel (occasionally olive too where they are assumed to be an association with victory in a given race). No-one really knows and Apollo is often hauled up whenever laurel is mentioned too 🙂
Thanks for the additional info, @Deinomenid.

Nice snake biga, @ambr0zie. I like your complete biga, and Ceres is not off-flan. Congrats to your first purchase, and thanks for sharing. 🙂
I think non-horse bigas are fun. It is one of my collecting themes. Here are my two RR snake bigas.- 8

A nice one with cool design, @robinjojo. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if there is any symbolic meaning for the leaf under the chariot. Or it is just a mintmark.

I recently picked up a Roman provincial diassarion with Faustina Junior and snake biga design. It looks very similar to @Roman Collector's example. The coin was last auctioned at Leu during December 2021. 🙂
It is great to have two of my favorite themes on one single coin. 😊

Both your Greek and Roman top fives are top notch!!!!
My three choices would be #9 #6 and #2
The Eagle clutching the hare is hard to beat/ Europa/ Eagle with Bull on reverse is close second. The Aureus is beautifull.
Wishing You a Happy Christmas Holiday!

The Gortyn stater is a win win with such clear details, they are often in quite bad condition and still go for high prices. A good year 🙂

Nice addition, @filolif. Your Owl tetradrachm has a nice Athena portrait.
Here are some pre-Classical Owls I picked up. My priority is on the Athena portrait, instead of the owl. 🙂
