  1. Many dealers just write e.g. "ex Prieure de Sion" without using Pedigree, Collection or Sammlung. Therefore you can just search for "ex" or "ex ". This works somehow fur Numisbids and sixbid with an acceptable number of unwanted results but not for biddr which shows too many bad results like e.g. REX. On acsearch "ex" works quite well but it's not for upcoming auctions, and of course this brings also results like "in ex", but usually not longer words like "extremely"
  2. The description says Tempel, not temple, therefore probably German or Dutch

  6. In comparison with a die match, I don't see any "invented" structures, only the left side of Mount Argaeus looks different. I think it's also hard to tool such a rough coin without it showing. Double die match: https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coin/244252 The other thing is the patina. Chemically cleaned and repatinated ?

  9. On this page your coin is discussed as a fake (see Case 3). Of course, the authors could be wrong. You certainly have to examine the arguments in detail. https://numismaticfakes.wordpress.com/2016/04/25/taras-unique-and-unpublished-gold-coins-no-fakes-previously-on/ https://www.lamoneta.it/topic/121053-frazionale-aureo-inedito-taras/

  12. The problem is that you are selling the coin as Extremely fine . EF is a state of preservation, and a tooled coin is never EF. In fact, the state of preservation is worse than before tooling because the original structure has been lost. The correct designation would be: Tooled to look like EF
  13. Are these real at all ? Above I postet two "die matches", and I just noticed that the Nomos example sold in 2017 has exactly the same decentering on obverse an reverse, but less details, e.g. if you look for the hair. It could be the untooled state, but there are two earlier auctions with tooling.

  23. That's a nice top ten. These are all coins where you need to take a closer look and for which you need a deeper knowledge. Perfect. My favorites are No. 10 ( I was lucky enough to get the die match from the last Leu auction, you pointed out to me), and No. 2 (a nice smooth sestertius and a rarity)
  24. Average weight of the 48 OCRE examples is 3.01g, and several are in the weight range of your example. https://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.2.tr.60
