CassiusMarcus Posted May 21 · Member Share Posted May 21 Picked this guy up a few weeks ago and just had it arrive now, Quite happy with the style, 16.95 g.; 29,3 mm I can't read German but on the auction description it says Thompson in Festschr. Robinson (1968), S. 171, 43 (Mondsichel) Müller, Lysimachus - HGC 1750b So is it possible that it has a 1968 pedigree? Although I am not quite sure what that means. It has been a fairly successful hunt this month of May and I am looking forward to some more arrivals shortly... a BIG addition as well that I am quite excited to share 😄 Let me know here what you have arriving and anything you are scoping out? 16

Benefactor kirispupis Posted May 21 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted May 21 Beautiful arrival! I have several coins waiting for export permits from Austria, but nothing on the order of what you have. 🙂 Interestingly, my Lysimachos tet came from the same seller. Lysimachos 287/281 BCE Perinthos 17.08g Kopf des vergöttlichten Alexander / Athena mit Nike-Statuette auf Cippus und Schild, Beiz. Monogramm und 2 gegenläufige Pferdeprotomen. Thompson in Festschr. Robinson (1968), -, vgl. 256 HGC 1750q; Thompson, Armenak-Hoard (=ANS MN 31, 198 – Müller, Lysimachus – Arnold-Biucchi in Festschr. Thompson in Festschr. Robinson (1968), S. 171, 43 (Mondsichel) "translates" as : This type of coin can be seen in the article by Margaret Thompson in the festschrift to Stanley Robinson, published 1968, specifically page 171, type 43 with the crescent moon.
