Amarmur Posted February 23 · Member Share Posted February 23 (edited) Hi I got this as a gift from a friend as a birthday gift who knows nothing about ancients. I believe it is either from Ptolemy I or II. It is quite cool but I am unsure it is authentic. Does it look okay (the wear looks genuine)? Which ruler is it? Thanks! CPK Posted February 23 · Supporter Share Posted February 23 Wow, what a cool gift! Regarding authenticity I don't see any red flags. Not sure about attribution.

Broucheion Posted February 24 · Member Share Posted February 24 (edited) Hi @Amarmur, Per Lorber it’s CPE-222 = Svoronos 362, pl. xi, 8 [8 listed]. Ptolemy I, minted sometime after 294 BCE. Uncertain Mint 9 on Cyprus (Salamis or Citium). - Broucheion Edited March 3 by Broucheion
