Benefactor LONGINUS Posted January 30 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted January 30 (edited) Occasionally when I’m perusing ancient coin sites...🤓 ...shopping for ancient additions to my collection, I’ll come across a portrait that reminds me of someone. It could be a person who I know in real life or an entertainment personality from movies or television. Anyway, my most recent Gallienus is such a discovery. Consequently — finding this coin sparked my interest and motivated me to round up coins from my collection featuring portraits who I thought resemble entertainment celebrities. Here is my most recent addition followed by some that have been in my collection for a while. If you own any coin portraits resembling an entertainer in film or television please post it. Gallienus looks a bit like David Duchovny with a beard too. I have another coin that looks like him too and suspect X-Files was real and Fox Mulder is a time traveler. 8
Ryro Posted January 30 · Supporter Share Posted January 30 Haha! Great thread idea and coins, RC! Are your celeb images AI? They look funky. The Irish Saltburn star, Barry Keoghan, will reportedly be playing Geta in the upcoming gladiator sequel. But here looks a bit like young Octavian (at least we don't have to see Augustus tallywaker flapping around in a ten minute dance sequence): Jim Carey has been doing a pretty good job in preparation for his role as Pertinax, jk: Who did it better, Oppenheimer and Avenger star Florence Pugh or the mother of mothers of Empresses? Maximianus ancestor Jay Leno keeping the chin and nose prominent: 8 1 4 1

Qcumbor Posted February 1 · Supporter Share Posted February 1 Some excellent comparisons ! You may not know him since he was a french actor, probably unknown abroad, but I've always found Lino Ventura to look like Marcus Antonius Q 5
