Prieure de Sion Posted December 29, 2023 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2023 Salve! I have a beautiful bronze coin here, the edge of which worries me a little. I have made a little video for you. What immediately struck me as strange are these round "stamps" with the green chip (at the end of the video). Here the material is still filled. But you can see the green patina or bronze disease in a circle. That alone wouldn't worry me - but in connection with the holes next to it it would! In addition to the current green deposits, you can see some holes in the video. It's possible that bronze disease has struck here, which has been combated and the holes have remained. And now the pitting has returned in two new places. What do you think?
Kali Posted December 29, 2023 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2023 Does it flake off with a fingernail scrape? If not, than it isn't BD.
AETHER Posted December 29, 2023 · Member Share Posted December 29, 2023 Most likely left over patina that was to difficult to clean off.
