Just kidding of couse, it's a magnificent coin with a stunning portrait! I do hope you enjoy it, despite the 'flaws' and grade. If not, you can always give it away to, say for example, me ... 😄 I have this 'VF' denarius, which I think is actually mighty fine. Great portrait, sweet flow lines, and the detailed victory on the reverse is cherry on the pie. Limes, You have a wonderful denarius with an exceptional reverse ☺️! The goddess Victory is very lively. I'm surprised the title GERM (Germanicus) wasn't added to the obverse inscription 🤔. 1

The VICTORIA GERMANICA sestertius doesn't come up for sale often & your example has a beautiful patina 😊. Your Maximus sestertius is an unusually choice example too 😉. 1
Romancollector Posted June 6, 2023 · Member Share Posted June 6, 2023 Nice addition @Al Kowsky Your Maximinus has a solid portrait and a beautiful uniform dark patina.....your Maximus is a standout piece. I was hoping to pick up a sestertius of Maximus with the same reverse as yours, but I settled with the example below. 3 1

Benefactor LONGINUS Posted June 6, 2023 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted June 6, 2023 (edited) Thanks for your great post, @Al Kowsky ! Here’s my one and only Maximinus. I’m including my one and only Macrinus in the image because not so long ago (early last year in fact) I knew nothing about either emperor, nor could I tell you the difference between their coins. I’m still a beginner and thousand miles from being an expert but thanks to you and the folks on this forum I’m inspired to learn more.
