This archaic stater of Kyzikos has a winged Female Figure holding a Fish in her right hand and a Flower up to her chin in her left.

The identity of the female figure is open to conjecture, though being winged you'd assume a deity of some sort.

The identity of the fish is certain though, the famous and popular tunny found on the coinage if Kyzikos.

Ferdinand II of Bourbon 120 Grana, 1841
image.png.fcd873c9ff92617aa11b549516317d3f.png
Napoli. Silver, 37mm, 27.12g. Young bearded head to right, date below; FERDINANDVS II. DEI GRATIA REX. Crowned shield of 6-fold arms, with central shield, value 'G.120' below; REGNI VTR. SIC. ET HIER. Edge: PROVIDENCIA OPTIMI PRINCIPIS + (cf MIR (Naples) 501/1). The graffiti is probably the Great Star of Italy, a gesture towards Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies’s opposition to Italian unification. He suppressed one of the first uprisings of Europe’s Revolutions of 1848, which precipitated the unification of Italy in 1871.

This is a difficult letter for those who concentrate on Greek coins.

But with a lot of Roman examples:

Feodor II Godunov Kopek, 1605-1606
image.png.1afa77d0f89e5957269cfe3f4b7237f1.pngMoscow. Silver, 0.65g. Horseman with a spear on a galloping horse, right; МО-ГД-РЬ around. (ЦРЬ И / ВЕ)ЛИКIй / (К)НSЬ ФЕДО / -РЪ ВСЕѦ Р / -УСИ (KG 236). During the Time of Troubles, an anachronistic kopek with the name Fyodor Godunov was struck with the letters MO-GD-Pb. They used Boris Godunov obverses because there wasn't time to make new dies. Within months, there was an uprising led by False Dmitry I and Feodor was killed.

You can tell most of the story of the Grand Duchy of Muscovy using the letter F... 😁

False Dmitry I Kopek, 1605-1606
image.png.89612269a32ac25c0e63297f299907af.png
Novgorod. Silver, 0.66g. Horseman with a spear on a galloping horse, right; НРГI. ЦРЬ I ВЕ/-ЛIКIИ КНSЬ /ДМIТРE ИВ(А)/-НОВИЧЬ ВС(Е/-Ѧ РУСI) (Tsar and Grand Duke of whole Russia Dmitri Ivanovich) (KG 247). The letters НРГI (NRGI) indicate both the mint, where N=Novgorod, and the date, where RGI = 113 = 1605. Since year zero is 5508 years earlier from the date of Creation in Old Russian (after 1492), Cyrillic letter - 5508 = Julian date. RGI is 113, an abbreviation of 7113, so 7113 – 5508 = 1605.

False Dmitry II was a second imposter who appeared in July 1607. He declared himself miraculously saved during the uprising in which False Dmitry I was killed. He managed to defeat the government troops and struck coins in Pskov, but did not take Moscow

Double Florin

Victoria Jubilee Coinage Double Florin, 1887
image.png.72fe77fded185ad699542bdebe0f4ff6.pngLondon. Silver, 36mm, 22.60g. Head 1; VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. Four crowned cruciform shields with sceptres in angles; FID DEF BRITT REG; Roman I in 1887 (S 3922). The double florin was introduced in 1887, but discontinued in 1890 because it was frequently confused with the crown and half-crown. It earned the name ‘barmaid’s ruin’, since barmaids would have to make up the difference if they accidentally gave change for a crown in a dark pub.

Feronia

Ar Denarius of Augustus Rome 19 BC P Petronius Turpilianus Moneyer Obv. Bust of Feronia right Rv Parthian kneeling right presenting Roman military standard RIC 288 4.03 grms 19 mm Photo by W. Hansenaugustusd45.jpeg.3476b679ef1acec962fa786edf464619.jpeg

Feronia was a goddess most associated with fertility health and abundance. She is also associated with the freeing of slaves and appears to be popular among the Roman Plebian class. of course the restoration of the Parthian standards was a central point in Octavian's propaganda. Their return essentially meant no war.
