Reverse..Filleted thyrsos, bell attached with fillet, AMI-ΣOY flanking across field, monogram lower right. Mint..Amisos (Samsun, Turkey) SNG Black Sea 1192-5; HGC 7, 251. Good VF

Or that peace has been achieved.)...and parazonium;(A triangular shaped dagger usually sheathed symbolising virtue, or rather of valor.)*at feet to left, river god reclining on urn right; to right, two bound captives seated left.*River gods Euphraat & Tigris seated far left and right with Armenia seated at the Emperor's feet (right).*River gods Tyne & Eden seated far left and right with Britannia seatedcat the Emperors feet (right)"Take your pick!".RIC 96; RSC 441. For those who are unfamiliar with this type I did a little breakdown with over lays .... ½ Drachm - "Ispahbadh of Tabaristan" Khurshid - 740-760 AD (Tabaristan mint 752/3 AD ) 2 gram Obverse-Bust right,crescent in right field, breast ornament with 4 pellets.Pellet above crown to right, Name in Pahlavi. Reverse- Fire altar with 2 attendants; star left and crescent right of flames.

  21. That's a lovely looking 'ancient' @ominus1...I really like these worn, been used, but still showing the nice depictions intended type coins.. Hopefully this isn't too far off theme as is does show an artisan at work. Celtic Britain Cunobelin metal worker Britannia, Trinovantes & Catuvellauni. Cunobelin. Circa 9-41 AD. AE Unit (2.437 g, 14mm). Obv: Winged head left, CVNO in front, BELIN behind. Rev: Metal worker, presumably the smith god known as Sucellus in parts of Gaul, sitting on a solid seat with a detached upright back, holding an L-shaped hammer in his right hand, left hand holding a metal bowl, there is always a distinct bun of hair behind the smith's head, TASCIO (Tascionus his father) behind, beaded border. Van Arsdell 2097; ABC 2969; SCBC 342. Hobbs 1972-83;..VF.

  24. Arcadius, contemporary imitation. DNARCA-DIVSAVG (or similar). Note the usual "PF" is missing. The reverse prototype is SALVS REI-PVBLICAE, perhaps Nicomedia with staurogram in left field and [S]MN[A/B/Γ] in exergue. Next...Arcadius.
