  1. I am very lacking for Geta. I purchased this denarius only because I thought he made a cute baby. The reverse depicts him as PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS.... This next denarius was incorporated into a 19th century pill box and I have no idea what the reverse is. In as much as this thread is about reverses, I guess that makes this coin totally irrelevant!

  6. Thanks , and you raise a very good point ; much of what we have to be thankful for about Aurelius is because of the dutifulness (PIETAS) of Antoninus.

  9. I believe my dupondius is RIC Hadrian 605, bust of Hadrian , right with slight drapery over left shoulder. Under magnification it looks like the weak representation of a parazonium merges with a corroded area, but there is something there. The coin definitely looks struck to me and not a cast. wt is 12.9gms. Virtus on my coin looks a little sinuous , but to me it appears genuine. By the way, I love your denarius with crescent moon and stars - it's on my wish list!
