AncientNumis Posted May 27, 2022 · Member Share Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) So, a while ago I was lucky enough to go to Rome again! It was awesome, and I loved visiting some of the amazing sites. But here I thought I'd share 3 images I like (2 of coins in their natural habitat) and one comparison. We've got: Commodus at the colosseum Hadrian at his villa Capitoline Wolf Statue And High Grade LRB Comparison If this is popular, I might post some more photos I took there! I have a lot more of the different sites, and I could also do some comparison ones too Share pictures taken with coins, coins linked to locations or sites, or simply some of the favourite ancient places you've visited! AncientNumis Posted May 29, 2022 · Member Author Share Posted May 29, 2022 (edited) Ok, here are some more pics from my visit, but I’ve got a fun little game! Can any of you guess where or what these are? Most are pretty easy to be honest, but hopefully it’ll still be fun. Beware though, some are from the same sort of place and one or two aren’t super famous I’d say... 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. AncientNumis Posted May 30, 2022 · Member Author Share Posted May 30, 2022 Ok, here are the answers @Etcherdude@idesofmarch01you both did pretty well! 1. Public toilets at Ostia 2. Baths of Caracalla 3. Pantheon 4. Famous Augustus Statue (Palazzo Massimo) 5. Hadrian's villa 6. Statue of Herakles (Capitoline Museum) - I edited the area in the middle to keep it SFW by the way 🤣 7. Arch Of Titus 8. Ara Pacis 9. Colosseum 10. Part of Palatine Hill I think... 11. Gavin Richardson Posted May 30, 2022 · Member Share Posted May 30, 2022 Ostia Antica is underrated. I liked it better than Pompeii.
