VanillaBean Posted April 15 · Member Share Posted April 15 Hello, I have a lot of these copper coins (look copper anyways) and I was wondering what is the best way to identify them. I think they are ancient Greek coins, but with no real clues as to the writing on coins or the faces on them. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
Benefactor KenDorney Posted April 15 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted April 15 Look to be Chalkoi of Ptolemy III minted in Cyrene, but its hard to say, the pics are not good enough for me to tell. They look to be severely over-cleaned, so that will reduce the value by at least 50% or more.
