Amanda Posted April 3 · Member Posted April 3 Received when father passed years ago and found recently in a suitcase in my attic when clearing out, does anyone know on ideas of worth please 2 Quote
John Conduitt Posted April 3 · Supporter Posted April 3 (edited) The first looks to be Balbinus RIC 11, perhaps of dubious authenticity. Similarly the second, which is Macrinus RIC 91, and the third, which is Didius Julianus RIC 3. After that is Antoninus Pius, possibly a sestertius, but that depends on the size. No offence is meant. But the pictures are too small, too poor, too blurred - to be able to say whether the coins are genuine at all. You would need much better pictures. The diameter and weight of each coin are also missing. You can't say anything serious like that. But I assume they are of little value - probably - because coins 1-3 appear to be forgeries. The rest are in poor condition. 51 minutes ago, John Conduitt said: The first looks to be Balbinus RIC 11, perhaps of dubious authenticity. Even if the pictures are not really good - I bet coins 1 to 3 are forgeries. 2 3 Quote
Vel Saties Posted April 4 · Member Posted April 4 Hi, @Amanda. IMHO cons 1-3 are modern forgeries. 10 hours ago, Prieure de Sion said: The first thing I noticed immediately. I agree! 12 hours ago, Amanda said: You have to rotate this 180 degrees You should try to give of each coin: 1) better, larger, well-lit and in-focus images 2) diameter 3) weight 2 Quote

Edessa Posted April 6 · Supporter Posted April 6 Tourist fakes. The Domitian looks ok but isn't worth much in that condition. 1 Quote
Amanda Posted April 6 · Member Author Posted April 6 Any idea on this coin please, it’s 50 pence, I can’t seem to find anything about it, i know St Christopher on one side and Elizabeth 2 on the other side but it says 50 pence, 2007, but it’s not shaped like a modern 50p As you can tell new to coins 😂 Quote
sand Posted April 7 · Member Posted April 7 Hello @Amanda. I advise, starting a new thread, for the Queen Elizabeth II coin. 1 Quote
