Topcat7 Posted March 4 · Member Share Posted March 4 (edited) I don't have a clue of what I am looking at here. Can someone help me please? I have this 1.89gm., AE18.4mm. coin and I really don't know where to start with it. I am hoping that it will ring someone's bells as to what it is and/or where it has come from. Any help is appreciated, thank you, (in anticipation). Edited March 4 by Topcat7
ambr0zie Posted March 4 · Member Share Posted March 4 (edited) I am not sure about this one, but the first thing I had in mind is a barbarous radiate, 3rd century. I think your 2nd pic is the obverse - radiate head left. The reverse - I don't understand what it should be, as my brain refuses to see anything else than a person using a watering pot (and I am pretty sure this is not it) Something like this (for the obverse) Edited March 4 by ambr0zie 1
Topcat7 Posted March 4 · Member Author Share Posted March 4 Now I see the watering pot. I saw a cat jumping up from the right to the left.
maridvnvm Posted March 4 · Member Share Posted March 4 My eyes went to a Byzantine Trachea. It is probably better to have said nothing. 1

On the obverse (picture 2) I see a radiate head left - but this could be an optical illusion.
