panzerman Posted December 28, 2023 · Member Author Posted December 28, 2023 I really love these too. I am trying to get most emperors/ empresses/ usurpers from Augustus-Aurelian. I was also after the Vitellius Denarius/ but she went for 2500 euros🙄 The Macrinus was my fav. from yesterdays haul. Thanks to a certain member for that. My all time dream coin is the FDC aureus NFA Auction Alexander of Carthage. Man its nice......never ever seen one since. 1 Quote
panzerman Posted December 29, 2023 · Member Author Posted December 29, 2023 Thanks! Best thing was the price (32euros) Proves that beautifull coins don't have to cost "an arm and a leg"😊! 1 Quote
Orange Julius Posted December 29, 2023 · Member Posted December 29, 2023 That second Claudius II (VICTORIA AVG) is really cool as it retains some stylistic characteristics of Gallienus coins, mixing them with the features of the new emperor. That hair and crown is all Gallienus. Quote
