India, Taxila (Pushkalavati)

Recommended Posts

This coin was sold to me with this attribution:

India. Taxila. Post Mauryan (Punjab) 185-168 BC.
Karshapana AE

24 mm, 5,70 g

I have been trying to pin down a more specific attribution but am unable to do so. I am finding many coins of this type or similar but am only seeing examples with the lion standing left, none with the lion standing right as on my coin. I am less experienced with Indian coins and not sure exactly where I would look to find a version with the lion standing right. Any ancient Indian experts want to help me out? Here are a few close examples I found. India.jpg.b201c1455667f094455efcd83c39187f.jpg
