David Atherton Posted August 16, 2023 · Member Share Posted August 16, 2023 (edited) Earlier this month a Magic: The Gathering trading card was sold for over $2 million to Post Malone. Apparently, a 'grail' in the MTG trading card world. Next week I'll be sharing my own 'grail' - a coin I've longed to own since the publication of RIC II.1, and yes, it's a one of a kind as well. So, in celebration of this major acquisition, I would love to see your own grail coins. Show them off here! Kali Posted August 16, 2023 · Member Share Posted August 16, 2023 Even though I gave it it's own thread, it's being largely ignored, so here is what I consider a "grail". You're the one that confirmed it.🙂 Titus (79 - 81 A.D.) EGYPT, Alexandria BI Tetradrachm O: Laureate head right. R: EVQHNIA LG.Draped bust right of Euthenia, wearing wreath of grain ears; grain ears and poppies on her left shoulder; star behind. sand Posted August 16, 2023 · Member Share Posted August 16, 2023 That's exciting. I've had a few holy grail coins. I've eventually found all of my holy grail coins, except for 1 secret holy grail coin, for which I am still questing. Here's the holy grail coin, for which I searched the longest, and eventually found. I searched and waited for 4 years, to find an Athena tetradrachm, which was pretty enough for me, and was under my budget. I was so happy, when I finally found it last year. Athens AR Tetradrachm. Minted 449 BC To 413 BC. Sear 2526. Maximum Diameter 24.8 mm. Weight 17.15 grams. Obverse : Head Of Athena Wearing Helmet Facing Right. Reverse : Owl Standing, Olive Twig And Crescent On Left, Alpha Theta Epsilon On Right, All Within Incuse Square. Test Cut.
