I got a Sasanian coin in one. I tried to get my latest Ancients submission put in those prongless “Air View” NGC holders, but the folks at their 2023 FUN show table said that’s at NGC’s discretion and not a customer-choice option. So beastly white prongs I shall get. But when submitting, I now always go for the Photovision images, which are well worth the modest added expense, and prongless, as you can see. This Nero was bought already slabbed, so I had to send it in for Photovision and reholdering. A minor hassle, but worth it. Edited April 4, 2023 by lordmarcovan 2 Quote
Edessa Posted April 5, 2023 · Supporter Posted April 5, 2023 Just FYI, the prongless holders are not without issues. I have two very fragile English pennies with the coins now offset to one side and even wedged under the edge of the plastic. I don't feel that I can remove either slab without damaging the coin. I guess I need to send them back to NGC to be re-slabbed. 2 1 Quote
