It’s a little over an hour west of Philadelphia, and indeed is in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch country. There are a lot of people of German descent around there, but those who actually speak the German dialect called Pennsylvania Dutch are mostly Amish and Mennonites, who lead a rural 19th century lifestyle.
