My Coins from the First Christmas

Although the focus of my collecting efforts in 2022 has been Imperial Roman denarii, Judaean coins still fascinate me and I’m continuing to add to, upgrade, and refine my collection.

I’d love to see your coins from around the time of the first Christmas.

Here’s wishing all of you a joyful holiday!

@LONGINUS Very nicely done!

I think this one is my closest dated to Christ's birth (5-4 B.C.) At the time this coin was struck, Joseph and Mary (with the baby Jesus) had left Egypt and settled in Nazareth far to the north, away from Herod Archelaus and the dangerous power center at Jerusalem.
