bcuda Posted November 24, 2022 · Member Author Share Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) Anyone else out there have a guess as to what it is? I do not believe it is a counterfeit coin meant to mislead someone, it came from a metal detector person in Spain and for the price of 25 euro it is quite a conversation piece no matter what. I just find it strange to be so thick and fat and weighing 70 grams for it is to be a novelty piece. Could it possibly be a token, or a weight ? Ryro Posted November 24, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted November 24, 2022 I would love to know as well! Certainly Punic design. That chonker, like you said, is fun no matter what... but what is it?
Celator Posted November 24, 2022 · Member Share Posted November 24, 2022 A poor attempt at a trishekel of Hannibal. I came across a silver one ten years ago from a Spanish seller. 1
