My avatar is one I use a lot - on my Youtube channel and website as well.
It was my favourite coin for a while, even though it's just a simple drachm from Philip III. The pics below are pretty bad and I'm planning on taking some better ones soon, but at least you can see the obverse of the coin there.
(By the way, these aren't the exact photos used for the profile picture, but the best I could find)

Aww, such cute cats! 🙂
Here are my panthers (although they should probably be called leopards), a little more fierce than just a cat but I find them really fun anyway. I don't have a cat at home right now sadly as a pet, but used to have 2 kittens, and a few years before that, another cat - so I do really love them.
Oh - and just remembered, I have got some fun lions too so I'll post those later if I remember.- 15

Yeah me too! It would sure be quite useful if members accidentally post messages twice or something, would be a good idea.

Sorry -
Woahhhhhh that is insanely nice!
I have no MSC yet 😞 so can't really contribute, but you're all making me jealous - maybe soon!
So nice to see you here, @TIF! 😄- 1

Great coin and write-up!
Here's my nicest coin from Kyme - I have a couple but they're all the same type I think.
Somehow got this piece in a lot of 20 coins from VCoins recently, and they were each 3 pounds a coin! Was happy to see that there were some nice coins like these in that lot 🙂. In fact, that was probably one of the most fun ancient coin lots I've ever bought.- 13

Yep, which is quite fascinating! That's why I chose to bring him - when most people think of an emperor linked to the Colosseum, they think of Commodus.

Yesss!
Ok, I think I'm clogging up this thread as it's getting slightly off topic, but I'm gonna start a post later if any of you want to see some more pics I took, might be fun. 🙂- 1

Also did some other photos of coins in their surroundings, like a Hadrian hemidrachm in his villa in Tivoli! Was very fun to hold the coins at the same time as being there - and appreciating how Hadrian lived there thousands of years ago - and one of his coins I own is in my pocket or touching the stone!!!

I actually took a pic of a budget Commodus sestertius of mine at the colosseum! I'll try to find it and send here 🙂

@Helvius PertinaxThat looks really cool! I love the background, it adds a lot to the photo and makes it seem even more interesting! Love the coins too - seen them before of course but every time I see them I appreciate them more, your collection is super nice in terms of fun quality pieces, lots more than mine 😅
Haha @maridvnvmyeah in some photos they look practically like they're made of gold - we sometimes joke about them being darics or aurei!

Sadly I don't yet have even one Tetradrachm, but after seeing all these insanely beautiful pieces, I think I'l try to save up for a bit to get one!
Awesome coins everyone, soooooo nice 😃.- 5
