  1. Hi all - more catalog scans are now online at gallica and archive, many important, and some I didn't have. You can find links to just the latest additions via this link: rNumis --> Numismatic Auctions Database (recent elink adds) Cheers
  2. An almost complete set of the Vecchi sales have now been posted at archive by my good colleague storico53. I've added links at rnumis which you can find here: rNumis » Auctions of Italo Vecchi Enjoy
  3. Not real. The 10K lettering is not correct and the monogram is poor. The 5K undercoin is genuine.
  4. The best images are at archive: https://archive.org/details/webercollectiong03webe/page/n177
  5. It looks like all the Weber volumes can be found on Hathitrust...here's the text: Section is LYCIA / Myra (Dembre) League Coinage BC 168 - circ 81 The coin image in the scan I checked is poor....I'm looking to see if they have different scans that might be a bit better
  6. I've just added links to 3 nice older Fixed Price Lists with ancients. They're from A. Canessa (Italy) 1948-50 and are well illustrated. They've been online at gallica for a while (so you may have seen them already) but I've only just got around to them. You can find them here: rNumis » Fixed Price Lists of A. Canessa
  7. Fantastic and nice to get that extra confirmation 👍
  8. @DonnaML Donna, I think lot 519 may be illustrated in the Black and White plates at the end of the Sternberg catalog
  9. My good colleague storico53 has posted a complete set of Frank Sternberg scans at archive. These are next to impossible to find online and there were some even I was missing. He's also posted some super-hard to find Ratto sales. I've added links at rNumis...you can find them here: rNumis » Auctions of Frank Sternberg rNumis » Auctions of Rodolfo Ratto Enjoy
  10. This is in my collection and is from Motya . As usual, photo and description from the auction house.
  11. @Deinomenid I've dropped it off here: https://www.rnumis.com/downloads/MMBASEL_19841022_rnumis.pdf Just FYI, it's quite large (80MB)
  12. M&M Basel had a specialized Crete sale...I think it was 66 (1984). I have a pdf if anyone wants a copy
  13. This is a litra from Katane in my collection. Photo and description are from the auction house. I wish it were in better shape, but it supposedly comes from a 1906 Jacob Hirsch sale (lot 969, not 869 per the catalogue) and is R2 in Hoover (HGC Sicily 591).
  14. Luceria in my collection. Photo and description from the auction house. Heavy thing.
  15. Another E in my collection...Eryx Photo and description from the auction house
  16. One of my Etruria. Photo and description from the auction house.
  17. Campania. This is one I bought recently. Photo and description are from the auction house (much better than I could do).
  18. For the old-auction-catalog fans, Gallica have finally digitized this sale and placed it online. I've been waiting for this one for a while. Médailles antiques grecques et romaines : 16 octobre 1923 / Fernand Lair-Dubreuil, commissaire-priseur ; Florange & Ciani ; Jules Florange, expert ; Louis Ciani, expert | Gallica (bnf.fr) There are 6 nice plates of Greek and Roman, including several new style Athens . Enjoy!
  19. @AncientJoe (and anyone else interested) I've added a couple of filters to the rNumis auction database page so that you can now show only those auctions with available elinks (all or recently added). When you select the Auction House, the details page will show you when I added each link (for those added after September 10th). https://www.rnumis.com/auctions_top.php Let me know if you see any issues (bad behavior etc)...I've just pushed the code and it seems fine, but there could be bugs. Thanks
  20. @AncientJoe Excellent suggestion. I've just created a new date_added field in the catalogs database to keep track of this. Bear with me and I'll update the website soon, so you'll be able to see/use that going forward.
  21. Some more Baldwin auction catalogs have been uploaded today at archive, including this one, a specialized "Greek Coins and the Persian Empire"
  22. I've added 54 new links to auction catalogs that have recently become available online at archive and gallica. These can be found here: rNumis » Auctions of Baldwins (27 new at archive) rNumis » Auctions of NFA (14 new at gallica) rNumis » Auctions of Etienne Page (Expert) (7 new at gallica) rNumis » Auctions of Alain Weil (Drouot Expert) (6 new at gallica) Happy to see gallica continuing to scan NFA. They have a few left to do, but at this point they're close to having complete coverage of the NFA auctions. I still have quite a lot of Drouot (Page, Weil etc) links to add. Ongoing.
  23. Indeed! Same here. I'll amend my wish to owning a real one.
  24. Very nice. Would love to have a Lipara!
  25. This one's mine - nothing really special, just wanted to have an example in hand. Photo is from the auction house, as that's probably better than anything I can do with my phone 😄 Quite a chunky thing...32.69g
