Ryro Posted April 18 · Supporter Share Posted April 18 It's a beautiful bronze owl. What's not to like? I thought it'd be easy to identify. But I'm not having much luck and would appreciate your help. Demos description leaves much to be desired...Greek. Uncertain. Bronze Æ. Weight 6,54 gr - Diameter 15 mm And on the reverse I'm pretty sure we're seeing an over hand right via a boxing glove😉 (Now you can't unsee it) Identification or any ideas or similar coins are appreciated😁 6
Benefactor kirispupis Posted April 18 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted April 18 This is a tough one, but it certainly looks like ΑΘE down the left side, so I'm guessing Athens. It has roughly the look and size to match Kroll 157 - Greek coins in Athenian Agora.pdf (vassilopoulos.info). That would put it in the 1st-2nd centuries BCE. 3
JeandAcre Posted April 19 · Member Share Posted April 19 Sorry (but, really, not so much), I'm enjoying watching Sylvester Stallone get punched that many times. ...My machine Hates .pdf as a format, and is Not Getting Along with @kirispupis' link.
