The rough, dark and corroded surfaces on this coin were tough to photograph, but it does have an interesting reverse that depicts a statue of Astarte attended by five figures with one offering what seems to be a laurel wreath and another pouring or putting something on an alter.  

Any other cons featuring Astarte.  She was a popular figure in the coinage of Phoenicia and points east.

Otacilia Severa, Coele, Syria, Damascus. Æ 27 244-249 AD.
