thenickelguy Posted June 22, 2022 · Member Share Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) People clean range brass with this type tumbler. The media is crushed walnut shells. Has anyone ever used this method? There were times I had wondered if this method would work on those unidentifiable coins like these or improve on the appearance of coins like this. shanxi Posted June 22, 2022 · Supporter Share Posted June 22, 2022 Dont' do it. This method is abrasive and will probably destroy the patina, and even on bare metal you will lose details. 5 1

Thank you shanxi I kinda figured on that but it was better to ask and perhaps in the future this post will help others too.
Benefactor robinjojo Posted June 22, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted June 22, 2022 I think using a device that makes the coins hit each other, along with whatever abrasive is use, would very likely yield less than desirable results.
Dwarf Posted June 23, 2022 · Member Share Posted June 23, 2022 You can put in each coin separately 😇
