Felipe Biagi Posted January 26 · Member Share Posted January 26 Please, can someone help me identify this coin? I have it for 2 years but never found something similar, it was from a coin lot. It is 11,2mm in diameter and weight 0,6g.
Deinomenid Posted January 26 · Supporter Share Posted January 26 This is a long-shot but the face reminds me quite a lot of some of the mugshots of the nymph Kyrene and there’s more than a hint of a silphium plant to the reverse. I haven’t seen them in combination, though it’s a little outside “my area”. Wildwinds (use thumbnail option) might help- https://www.wildwinds.com/coins/greece/kyrenaica/t.html
Benefactor kirispupis Posted Thursday at 04:45 AM · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted Thursday at 04:45 AM Kind of looks like Rhodes to me, though I'm not aware if they issued coinage that small.
ambr0zie Posted Thursday at 09:21 PM · Member Share Posted Thursday at 09:21 PM I would agree with @Deinomenid- but I think the obverse character is Athena, like on BMC 202 from the wildwinds page - but with a different reverse (and slightly larger, that one).

There are a few small coins with Athena and rose. attributed to Rhodes by the sellers, but without reference:https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6785466https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=5166290 or this from Soloi-Pompeiopolishttps://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=4895314 but non of them is a perfect match, so I'm not convinced Edited Friday at 10:11 AM by shanxi

shanxi Posted Sunday at 11:22 AM · Supporter Share Posted Sunday at 11:22 AM It's missing the big round thickening, and the top doesn't look like a caduceus.
