Prieure de Sion Posted June 9, 2023 · Member Share Posted June 9, 2023 A small note for Mac users and OpenNumismat. Under macOS Ventura, Apple has once again significantly tightened the security conditions for the sandbox. When starting OpenNumismat, the message appears that the file is corrupted (which is not true, it is solely due to Apple's quarantine rules). Download OpenNumismat normally and unpack the package. Then drag the OpenNumismat app into your Applications folder. Now open the terminal and enter the following text, which you then confirm with Return: Quote xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/OpenNumismat.app Don't be surprised if the OpenNumismat dock icon bounces for many seconds the first time you start it. The first time you start the app, the sample database is built up and this takes a while. But with the Terminal command, OpenNumismat will now also start under macOS Ventura.
