Many of these coins struck at the Laodicea ad Mare mint were melted down to strike more debased coinage for Caracalla's proposed war with Parthia. I sold the example of Prieur 1149 pictured below at a Heritage auction 12 years ago for $546.25 😊. 6 Quote
