Jay GT4 Posted January 14, 2023 · Member Share Posted January 14, 2023 Not rare, but probably the best coin I ever got in an uncleaned lot in the early 2000's. Caligula. Unfortunately no before pic but it was an easy cleaning. I haven't bought uncleaned coins since then. Nerosmyfavorite68 Posted January 14, 2023 · Member Author Share Posted January 14, 2023 It's a cinch that no coin like that would be in modern uncleaned lots. Uncleaned lots in uncleaned state (i.e. not half-cleaned already) seem fairly hard to find, especially in anything larger than an AE 3. Benefactor Ancient Coin Hunter Posted January 14, 2023 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) Here are a few examples described but my pics are on my laptop and I'm on my phone now. Honorius AE3 with facing bust holding spear and shield. Widow's mite. A bunch of Constantine going to heaven in chariot bronzes. More fel temp reparatio coins than I can shake a stick at. Roma commemorative with wolf and twins. A couple Aurelians. Severina. A giant follis of Maurice Tiberius that has bronze disease, etc., etc. I don't do uncleans anymore as I have gotten lazy and want the instant gratification of quality coins..
