  1. I'm leaning towards Antoninus Pius. With Apollo on the reverse. RICIII 824A. the neck is too thin for Hadrian.
  2. I'm not sure why the picture from the end won't delete. Tried 3 times
  3. So what at first I thought was a Napoleon I 1 soldo from the 1800s: After rubbing it with my thumbs, turns out to be much older. Definitely Roman AS, not sure who it is. I will try to clean it up. 10gr and 27mm, copper or bronze. Found while metal detecting.
  4. Metal detecting at the ruins of a friend's GG father's house
  5. Found yesterday just sitting on a rock in the hills. SB1107 I think.
  6. Nice coin! Did you find this while metal detecting?
  7. It looks like it says EXERCISE along the top right.
  8. I found reference that it's actually kwt Kwnstans monogram (Kwt = Kwnstantine)
  9. Found it not to far from where I found a Constans II follis. I was wondering what the TKw monogram stands for.
  10. I have cleaned it up enough for a date 1647 1 grano Filippo IV. You can see the 4 and a 7 to the right. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces83100.html
  11. I'm pretty sure it's a 1 grano Filippo II late 1500s https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces163019.html
  12. Found this today. Eagle in obverse, at least that's what I think it is. I can make out a V and O and a star on the reverse. Any assistance is appreciated Thank you
  13. Another indicator of these being early in Justinian I reign is the lack of a date. He ordered all coins be dated during his 12th year as emperor.
  14. I'm fairly sure this design may have only been minted in Ravenna. Finding it in Sicily is rare, none of the other Sicilian detectorists I know here had seen one found. The time frame they were minted was during the Gothic War, when Sicily was being taken from the Ostrogoths
  15. That's what I was thinking. I originally posted from my phone but I was at work and noticed that I could see the details much better on my monitor. I do wonder what would have been the original.
  16. Could this be an overstrike? It appears as if at one point there was another figure on the right but it's is smooth to the touch.
  17. @ela126, it is SB1109, Looking through the forum I found this photo below from @Simon, and if you look at the obverse image I posted you can make out a second figure on the left, it appears it may have been broken and/or worn down on that side.
  18. I think it's a Constantin II Syracuse mint for sure. You can make out the L under the M. Looks similar to https://www.numisforums.com/topic/3394-constans-ii-æ-follis-syracuse/
  19. Found this yesterday. I know it's 1 follis, it's about 17-19mm. Not sure of the date or figure on the obverse
